FFMPEG
FFmpeg is a complete, cross-platform solution to record, convert and stream audio and video. It includes libavcodec - the leading audio/video codec library. See the documentation for a complete feature list and the Changelog for recent changes.
FFmpeg is free software licensed under the LGPL or GPL depending on your choice of configuration options. If you use FFmpeg or its constituent libraries, you must adhere to the terms of the license in question. FFmpeg is built with the following options:
- All FFmpeg GPL assembly optimizations (redistributed under GPLv3)
- Builds and configures libx264 for H264 video encoding (redistributed under GPLv3)
- Builds and configures libmp3lame for MP3 audio encoding (redistributed under LGPLv2).
- Builds and configures libfaac for AAC audio encoding (redistributed under theLGPLv2)
